Kraken Robotic Systems and the Search for the Avro Arrow

Mr. Shea will tell the exciting story of how Kraken Robotics used cutting-edge Canadian underwater technology to resurrect cutting-edge Canadian Aerospace Technology in the search for the Avro Arrow models.

Bio: David has extensive experience managing integration of commercial sonar systems with a variety of AUVs. David was the Engineering Manager at Marine Robotics Inc (an AUV spinoff from Marport), and was the lead design engineer for the SQX-500 AUV at Marport Canada. He has designed, built and operated AUVs for International Submarine Engineering (ISE), the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and the University of Victoria (UVic). David holds a BEng in Electrical Engineering from UVic, with a specialization in Mechatronics.
